Instead of recording through total recorder, you might record using your
sound card.  You can make this change in the recording settings in your
sounds and audio devices tab in the control pannel using windows XP.  I
believe it's just called sounds in windows versions prior to XP.  If You're
recording through the sound board, you can do this.  If you're using the
softwareoption, I don't think you can.  You have to use the record through
total recorder option.  I'm not 100 percent sure, because I don't record
through the software feature that often.  hope this helps!
