Subject: Audible Questions

    Dear List!

I signed up for Audible a few days ago. I downloaded the Audible Player and
added a few plug-ins that it required.
The problem is that, sometimes when I try to play the file a second time, it
starts at the place where I left. I sometimes want to start over or at a
special
spot. I also want to copy the files to CD. They say I must download or
install Audible's copying program.
First of all, how do I manipulate files? Are there controls that allow me
to go backwards and forward through audible files? How can I get back to
the
beginning to start recording the file?
Secondly, I played part one of a particular book and was recording it via
Total Recorder. I turned off JAWS and fired up Total Recorder. The book
was a long one. When I tried to fire JAWS back up, nothing happened. I
could
hear nothing. Does JAWS shut down or freezes up once you turn it off and
record in Total Recorder for a long time? After the file was recorded, I
could
not get JAWS to talk at this point and lost my file. I could not save it,
as I didn't know where the file was or if I was on the total recorder screen
to save the MP3 version of the program.
Thirdly, the audible file is in some .AA file type. What is the best way to
copy it to CD?
Fourthly, Audible files are played in four media versions (1, 2, 3,4). With
the first two, it says the sound quality is fair, with the third one, it is
good, and with the final one, it is excellent. How should I play these
audible files?
Fifthly, If I must use Audible's copy function, what do I have to do to do
this. I really would like to save these books to CD or DVD.
There are many questions to be asked, but I will let the above suffice for
now. I hope someone can help me.
Sinceely,

James Robinson
