Also prefer candidate from Roche, LifeScan, J&J. *Job Description:* The DevOps Engineer will help define and lead the overall DevOps activities for our client, supporting the goal of developing a product that can be deployed in a controlled and automated form while being a safe and effective product in operation. The primary duties of this position will include developing and maintaining an effective build, release and deployment process that meets the needs of multiple projects and deployment platforms. The position will also build and support the various tools that empower a best-in-class software engineering organization. The DevOps Engineer will help us improve our build infrastructure and processes, identify and fine-tune our DevOps tool chain, improve our deployment methodology, and other tasks to improve effectiveness and efficiency across the software engineering department. This position will be a bridge between product development and its operational concerns and will also play a key role in transitioning the software release to the NPI organization. Besides a strong interest and expertise in tools and infrastructure and the dedication to producing automation solutions for continuous integration, this position requires good familiarity with web technology, information management, and software engineering concepts. Experience with medical device quality systems and design control will be a big positive. He or she will engage on any and every issue necessary to ship products to customers of the highest quality and reliability. *Roles and Responsibilities* 1. Learn and evaluate our current infrastructure, deployment and DevOps processes 2. Recommend and prioritize changes and additional automation, processes and tools and help implement them in collaboration with the development team 3. Oversee and actively participate in the automation of software build and deployments 4. Define and develop the software installation processes and packages 5. Support software engineering tooling and initiatives related to data processing, testing automation, deployments and performance testing 6. Collaborate continuously with other team members to ensure consistent processes across all development teams 7. Support all required tool validation processes 8. Support software verification and validation testing sufficient to support a 510(k) submission and clearance *REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE* 1. Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or commensurate industry experience 2. 3-5 years in a DevOps role for commercial software/web applications 3. Expertise in application builds, deployment, smoke testing and release promotion for complex applications and infrastructure 4. Expertise in automating the software build and deployment process 5. Expertise with Git version control system 6. Expertise with Jenkins or other Continuous Integration tools 7. Expertise with AWS or other cloud services 8. Expertise orchestrating Docker containers 9. Experience managing Linux (Ubuntu) Desktop and Server configurations 10. Experience with a common scripting language (Shell / Bash, Python, etc.) 11. Security obsessed and know how to deploy solutions in a secure manner 12. Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization 13. A passion for creating robust and reliable products 14. Experience with MEAN stack would be a plus 15. Experience with embedded systems and RTOS platforms would be a plus 16.
