Actually, my original comparison was not between MW and MSVS, it was between MW and the newest eMbedded Visual C++ that they were giving away when the Pocket PC was announced. It is not MSVS.. it looks like it, but its slow, the class wizard doesn't work, and its for CE. :) When I went to install it, it took me 4 tries, finally requiring me to make changes to the registry by hand. It takes up over 500 Meg of drive space, requires a Pentium 200 and Windows 95 Second Edition. The emulator only runs on NT and the online help requires MSDN to be installed as well (the 500 Meg above does not include help). Bottom line and IMHO, the CE development environment from Microsoft is extremely inferior to the Palm development environment from Metrowerks. That's not to say Metrowerks is perfect, I would love to see a better help system and an integrated resource editor (the constructor), but compared to MS EMVC it is a pleasure to work with. -- For information on using the ACCESS Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.access-company.com/developers/forums/
