You can load bitmaps from an additional resource database.

The Palm resource code will search trough ALL open resource databases, starting with the latest to be opened. This is usually your application, but If you open up an additional resource DB it will search that first.
This can be used to create 'skins' for some palm apps.

There are also routines to search a specific database as well.

Palm Bitmaps are not the same as windows bitmaps, but you can use constructor, PilRC, or even par to help create the prc file.

Hi,
Is there a way I can load images from a database not in the scope of the
program. What I mean is the program can open a given database and load a given
image from it? Or must the image be part of the resource of the program?

If it is possible, what is the structure of the image as a database record? As
I want to create a program that generates a pdb on the PC which somewhere may
contain an image which can be read by my program.

Thanks for your time
