Did you run the start_over script in the $OSCAR_HOME/scripts dir between
OSCAR installs?
Its not a bad idea to start with a totally clean OS install in between
aborted install attempts until you get the hang of what is a "really bad"
problem.
The more the server environment is like a default "workstation" install of
the supported OS, the better your odds of success are. Also, make sure if
you log in as a non-root user, that you use "su -" to get to root instead of
"su"... strange things happen if you don't...

I'm not sure if my MySQL DB is gacking on the SQL code, which I find in
./packages/oda/scripts/oscar_table.sql - which seems to try and create
an INNODB type database.
I'm hoping that someone out in OSCAR land has a few clues for me to go
digging? Thanks a TON for any pointers or help on this!
