I noticed there has been a fair amount of discussion about individual projects releasing independently of the OPNFV full (Gambia, etc) release cycle. I thought I would mention that the current OPNFV tagging strategy does support arbitrary tags for docker releases. Therefore if your project releases artifacts via docker push, it is currently possible to simply push a tag and that will cause a release to be published to docker hub. I do not know if this is an officially TSC sanctioned method, but if there is an immediate demand from end users (ie, yes I have been asked for ‘stable’ releases for StorPerf), then you can push a tag and that will publish the artifact to docker hub and represent a milestone in your project.
