I submitted a commit for the securedlab project with an alternate proposal for the IDF as I mentioned today. At the least I recommend that we discuss/define the schema for these proposals in more detail, as I have included in the commit: https://gerrit.opnfv.org/gerrit/#/c/44603/
Here is the commit message: Alternate proposal for IDF, adding more schema node types and schema description. This is intended as an actual IDF for the AT&T pod. The goal of this proposal is to pull out any PDF aspects that are variable in their intended use, e.g. anything other than physical devices with fixed configuration. It also assumed here that some pre-installation may have been completed based upon the static information in the PDF, e.g. host OS install and configuration, based upon the ability of the installer to assign PDF-declared devices with specific roles/configuration. That assumption is intended to keep this file to a useful minimum of choices that the pod owner wants to apply to the pod, for all installers.
