Hi It’s a good question.
From my experience, it depends. It depends on if this docker will influence the already existing docker network. Compass now is OK. Even if you want to run on jumpserver, if it conflicts with the already existing docker network(if it has one), it will cause problems. I think the original idea to isolate different test project codes by using docker, and jumperserver is usually a place to put from view of architecture. In other words, it also will be OK if you put on some host/VM as long as correctly configured with the installer interface, just as what rally do, a 3rd party test tool. By now, I think it’s OK for you to put it on control node. Since its test case grows, not sure if it will always OK depends on the test case design/running method. But, I have another question about yardstick. Could I run yardstick on control node? Because the docker bring up from our jump host node could not access the public network temporarily. I try to pull yardstick-ci docker from hub, but I can not get the right answer. I run docker search yardstiack and can not find the yardstick-ci docker also. So, where is the yardstick-ci docker? Or other docker to try the run-benchmarks?
