Hello, I know none of you have time to write tutorials but I just wanted to know what's possible to set my expectations right and maybe get a few pointers to get me going, so...
How much software and how many services can I squeeze onto a WRT54GL router using squashfs and forgoing the webUI? In the order of descending importance I would like to have: — iptables and ip6tables, — tunnel6 (for a SiXXs tunnel), — some monthly traffic statistics (preferably not lost on every reboot, maybe vnstat?), — irssi (with ssl), — BIND (or some other IPv6-capable dns software) both as a local resolver and to host a local tld and revdns, — sshfs, — L2TP/IPSec VPN _client_. Possible? Or maybe there is a way to estimate how much space those will take without trying to install them first? Should I use the Image Generator? Or just use one of the prebuilt ones and install the software once OpenWRT is up and running? I'm trying to replace my home server which is an electricity-sucking overkill and move as many services as possible to the router. Thanks, Rafał Ochmański _______________________________________________ openwrt-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.openwrt.org/mailman/listinfo/openwrt-users
