Well, the last time I was using it I needed RTU and this is AFAIR only
fully in >2.9 of libmodbus..

Can be simulated with the examples from libmodbus easily ;)

While scanning through what needs to be done for collectd4->5, one
question: there is a patch adding plugin iwinfo, shouldnt this get
upstream sometime/somehow? ;)
