Building with eglibc should work out of the box.
That's a strange thing to say - did you read my bug
at all? *If* you choose 2.13 eglibc and do a very minimal build with little
else, yes you might get an out of the box build. However, it remains, if you
want to do anything useful, you will need all the patches
I referred to. sysupgrade for one needs a fix for glibc/eglibc.
