Hello, I got a bit confused with the state of OpenWrt support of Ubiquiti NanoStation Loco M5. I guess, it might not be firmware-compatible with NanoStation M5, as firmware images such as openwrt-ar71xx-ubnt-nano-m-squashfs-factory.bin do not work with it. Neither from the binary OpenWrt distribution, nor if I build it from backfire sources myself.
The factory firmware is based on OpenWrt Kamikaze, but they seem to be using only the cross-compiling toolchain; most of OpenWrt goodness (uci, opkg, etc.) appear to be out of the window. I am willing to do the work of porting OpenWrt to this remarkable device if necessary, but before I start reinventing and reimplementing the wheel, I would like to ask what the current status of OpenWrt support for this particular device is and who, if anyone, is working on it? Regards, -- Daniel A. Nagy
