Merge the upstream-ready stuff to generic, and add the glue now. The patches in linuxppc-dev are not upstream-ready yet. Moreover my patches are based on a version 5 of the patchset while there is already version 9. This is ok for now because there were no major new features/bugfixes and also some very strange things sneaked in to the latest versions. They are being discussed. When all the issues are solved I'll use the latest patchset. But it can take quite some time. At the moment I'd rather merge my stuff as is. :) BTW I surely can't aid much in merging my patches to generic at the moment because I have other very urgent tasks. -- Alexander
