I've just added a comment to this ticket (https://community.openvpn.net/openvpn/ticket/71#comment:25). In particular, I'm using the GUI to connect to a server that requires credentials.
Does anyone have a good solution or workaround for this? I'm willing to do a little programming, if someone can point me to the right place and describe the right thing to do. I'm considering modifying the GUI to recognize that openvpn.exe is hung, kil it, and restart it. I'm also considering cobbling up a script of my own to replace the GUI, with my credentials embedded, so that I don't have to re-enter them every time I resume from the hibernation.
