Subject: [Openvpn-users] how to know which part of the /30 to push
Uh ... why do you want to use /30? Why not "--topology subnet"?
Because reading the documentation, I saw no warning about the
deprecation of this method.
Remember, I read
http://openvpn.net/index.php/open-source/documentation/howto.html#policy
Consider the old /30 behavior a broken relic of the past. If you need
to upgrade your server or clients to 2.1+, definitely do so. Might as
well go for 2.3 now.
I'm running 2.1.
So after reading a bit about this:
- using "topology subnet" in the main server configuration
- Just "ifconfig-push IP1 255.255.255.0" in ccd/client (no need to tell
about the server IP)
- using "topology subnet" in the client configuration
Just that.
Am i right?
