Hi,
The documentation I read:
http://openvpn.net/index.php/open-source/documentation/howto.html#policy
In order to fix the IP address of the clients, I use the "ccd/client"
file and
ifconfig-push IP1 IP2
Where IP1 is the assigned IP for the client and IP2 is the server IP.
The problem comes when I have several clients:
- IP1 and IP2 has to be in the same /30 (At least, Windows clients
complain about that)
- IP2 cant be then the server IP if numerous clients
My questions is: I have to assign a /30 for each client, have I to set
as many IP adresses as clients to the server endpoint?
Suppose I have 5 clients to fix IPs. I have to set:
ifconfig-push 10.8.1.1 10.8.1.2
ifconfig-push 10.8.1.5 10.8.1.6
ifconfig-push 10.8.1.9 10.8.1.10
ifconfig-push 10.8.1.13 10.8.1.14
ifconfig-push 10.8.1.17 10.8.1.18
Do I have to set 10.8.1.2, 10.8.1.6, 10.8.1.10, 10.8.1.14, 10.8.1.18 on
the server? How?
My server is running Linux, CentOS6.
Question #2: Does the order matter when choosing which of the address
pair will be IP1 and IP2?
Thank you.
