Thank you for your answer Jim. I am working on nova now and will get more acquainted with libvirt in the following days. Since OpenStack is under constant development I don't get alarmed that easy. I keep finding small/not that important bugs while working on openstack so a wiki page suggesting improvements doesn't alarm me that much.
Thank you also Bob. I'll take another look at XenServer too. I'll prefer that rather than XCP if I decide to go with Xen and everything goes well with my tests.
