Does anyone know how to import public certificates into Netscape (for email
use)? I used the openssl software to create email certs for a bunch of
people. I kept a copy of their public certs in files, which I imported into
Outlook so I can send them encrypted mail. I'd like to use Netscape for
mail, but I can't find a way to import the public certs. Netscape appears
to require that other people's public certs come from a Directory service or
a signed email. Is there a way around this? Other/better email program
suggestions would also be appreciated.

Sorry if this is slightly off subject, but I've gotten no response from
email to Netscape or postings to alt.netscape and Netscape's own
(secnews.netscape.com)netscape.security newsgroup. I thought the people in
this group are probably more aware and concerned with this type of problem.

TIA,
david
