This may not be related to the problem you are having, but I've had
problems getting Outlook Express (version 5) to connect to an LDAP/SSL
server. I had to upgrade Explorer to get it to understand my
certificates, but then Outlook would just say that it couldn't connect
to the directory. I tried installing NT4.0 SP5 just in case. Bingo.
