On Solaris Express, you create a username (for me robert) and get a password. 
You get root privileges by using sudo. There is no "admin" account.

For some reasons, I am in the process of reinstalling Solaris Express 11 and  
napp-it. The package downloaded this time is 4.05 and not the previous 4.02 
something. And guess what? The problem is gone. My best bet would be that you 
solved it!
