Well...with top solaris engineers,like, Bonwick,etc.leaving Oacle. I think it will probably force Oracle to reopensource solaris kernel, because i think in this time in age, it will be hard for oracle to find engineers, who are able to write and maintain complex kernel code like these devs who left were putting out.. quote from gadamore: " On the other hand, I think illumos may be the place where Solaris innovation happens, more so than at Oracle, even sooner than I previously expected.
