I'm relativly new here, I  started using OpenSolaris about seven months ago. so 
I  didn't really became that familiarized  on  how SUN  managed OpenSolaris,  
but  it appears when OpenSolaris was  under sun; service contracts were also  
needed  to  receive  updates or use the  /dev repo.   i remember reading that 
the 2009.04  opensolaris release   was  delayed and released on june. so this 
type of delays are not new.   it  seems opensolaris  is being managed the same, 
when it was under SUN.
