This proposed Articles Project would develop the necessary
processes for article generation and solicit contributors. We'd
have to decide what content is needed, who'd write/edit/produce
that content, how it would be reviewed for accuracy, in what form
it would be published, and where it would be published.
I'd think the best way would be to throw it open to everybody
without trying to setup a complex process on who'd be allowed to
write or edit the content. Wikipedia works on that principle and it
seems to work just fine.
I totally agree that we need a lightweight process. However, I'm more
concerned, at least initially, with finding people who are writers, or
people who have technical knowledge but who don't want to write, or
reviewers, or editors, or artists, etc. I think first step is to get
these people together and start interacting and out of that will come a
simple process and some content. I see both evolving over time. I don't
have all the answers here, so I'm looking to kick it off to see where it
goes.
