Isn't 'free trial' quite a bit different than 'free'?
It is to me.... my understanding was that the JES licensing change was
announcing free software, not free trials. If I want support, of
course, that's a different story and better get out the checkbook. But
(I thought) if one does not want/need/can't afford the official support
channels the software is still free. No?
Sorry this post is a bit out of context for osol-discuss, but you're the
second Sun employee today to refer to something as 'free trial' or
'evaluation.' I realize QFS is not part of JES, but the other component
I inquired about was Identity Manager, which is clearly listed in the
new license agreement. I'm getting mixed messages, which is confusing,
but perhaps it's just because this is so new....
Any clarification welcomed from those watching the list.
