And *that* is what I was saying. I think we should finally adopt the POSIX semantics.

*Most* of the utilities have the same source code, but there are exceptions: at least grep, sed, and more. (Notably the XPG4 version of more is closed while the /usr/bin/ version is not.) I suspect that there may be others.
