Especially in germany it's a whole branch of tourism these days. They even have solar powered electric ones. The tracks are usually former railway lines, not sure about the legal status of them, if they are all officially out of service or if they are just not used anymore (partly because there is no request and partly because neglect has rendered them unusable for locomotives).

For those wondering, like me ....  "draisine"= handcars, track cars,
putt-putts,etc (to use American language).  Little maintenance
vehicles (most often but not necessarily 4 wheels). In the past
strictly for railway service, though lately  passengers and private
users have  been using them.

Dear all, what is the right way to tag routes where is draisine traffic only. Just wondering why https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/33651736 is not shown in ORM.

Best, Eckhard
