That's not the case of telling somebody to do RTFM, but rather a case of 
general opinion about software that is around the web. There are a lot of 
programs that you do not need to look into cfg files and IMHO that's very fine. 
OpenOCD can be improved that way too, but I'd like to hear maintainter's 
opinion before I'll try making some patches.

A GUI utility to do usual things would be even nicer - specify interface/chip, 
press "connect", select image file, press "flash" and that's it!

This can be improved! But every maintainer must want that too. I think making 
OpenOCD more user-friendly and having SWD support would be a major brakthrough 
for it, bot I think nothing is going on in those areas...
