That 10-pin JTAG/SWD (with 0.05" pin spacing) is getting common. There's a related 20-pin (with 0.05" pin spacing) connector, which adds support for a narrow (up to 4 bit wide) trace port. Also "smaller" than traditional ARM 20-pin (with 0.10" pin spacing). Both those connectors are specified in some ARM document I've seen. The compactness is nice. The pin spacing isn't; that's at best awkward to solder, and those small IDC cables are hard to find or make. Re what I'd expect to see ... that's a function of the devices I expect to use with the product. For ARM, standard 20-pin/0.10" for sure; but with a forward-looking hat, I'd think about 10-pin SWD/JTAG too. If I were using it with TI parts, the TI-14. AVR uses a 10-pin/0.10" Altera variant; etc. Having a flying-leads octopus option wins flexibility, of course, but mostly for random one-off configs not "heavy use". - Dave _______________________________________________ Openocd-development mailing list Openocd-development@lists.berlios.de https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/openocd-development
