Something like Start->Setting->Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device Manager->Select Device->Right Click->Select Update Driver->Run through the whole wizard...On Sat, Jun 27, 2009 at 12:19 AM, Ronald Vanschoren<yahoogro...@lieron.be> wrote:IMHO, this makes any solution NOT based on FTD2xx unacceptable. People will not be willing to give up all their other tooling to run OpenOCD, instead they might find other solutions and stop using OpenOCD. I haven't read all the mails related to this issue, but this is new information for me at the moment. I'm not going to repeat my interpretation of GPL, you'll have to read up one of my other replies for the details, but looking at all the disadvantages of any other solution/workaround I really hope we can agree to allow distribution of FTD2xx based binaries for Windows. You can easily switch between two drivers. You can use the FTDI driver together with the other tools you have. You can use the libusb-win32/WinUSB for OpenOCD. For historic reasons I use the Luminary flash tool to get images on my board. Only thing I have to do is shutdown OpenOCD, start the tool, flash, start OpenOCD again. If I have to go through the whole driver switch every time I'll go insane... Anything else then FTD2xx will make it harder for users to use OpenOCD. gr. Ronald |
