I'm not so sure of that pathmove/statemove stuff.  See my earlier
message.  I can see such calls working well as part of a fully
queued programming interface though.

I think my recent [patch 1/3] does a good enough job here.

Note that polling had a few other issues than just background
calls ... it also needed to understand that not all targets
are enabled all the time.

That's got to be the least difficult part!  Except maybe
for the Cortex support, DAPs and all that.
