Any chance you can check if that residual performance regression
is somewhere between 1520 and 1606?

If there is a performance regression in the new stuff(inconceivable! :-)
then it may well have other reasons than USB roundtrip time, the
latest revision of the JTAG API handles this in the same way
as before: post processing.
