Asterisk used to have these issues with reviving faxes. I've heard this is
resolved in recent versions.

That said, I haven't really noticed any issues with voice in voip vm
systems. There might be sync issues if you record a meeting on a vm - don't
know.

I pay for a vps from a company that runs kvm though I haven't gotten into
most of the features.
