Hello!

I have an old DWA-171 USB WIFI stick,
ID 2001:3314 D-Link Corp. DWA-171
but my system is somehow missing the driver "rtl"

Sep  3 12:12:47 dell7720 usba: [ID 912658 kern.info] USB 2.10 device (usb2001,3314) operating at hi speed (USB 2.x) on USB 3.0 root hub: device@1, usb_mid57 at bus address 8 Sep  3 12:12:47 dell7720 usba: [ID 349649 kern.info] Realtek 802.11n WLAN Adapter 00e04c000001 Sep  3 12:12:47 dell7720 genunix: [ID 936769 kern.info] usb_mid57 is /pci@0,0/pci1028,7b1@14/device@1 Sep  3 12:12:47 dell7720 genunix: [ID 408114 kern.info] /pci@0,0/pci1028,7b1@14/device@1 (usb_mid57) online Sep  3 12:12:47 dell7720 usba: [ID 349649 kern.info] usba: no driver found for interface 0 (nodename: 'interface') of Realtek 802.11n WLAN Adapter 00e04c000001

The stick is part of the compatibility list

https://docs.openindiana.org/community-hcl/components/#wifi-adapters

D-Link DWA-171 yes 802.11abgn+ac USB 2.0 rtl

Why/where is the driver ??

i have the driver package

pkg://driver/network/rtls

but rtl is not in the pkg repo.

Any hints ??

Regards,

Stephan
