  The interesting thing is that turning off MPXIO on these SAS controllers
allows you to see the channel per drive (cX), but the target name is still
a WWN instead of the short integer I've seen on older SAS LSIs.

... that's because it's a gen2 controller and that's how it
is designed to report info. SAS devices show their SAS addresses,
and SATA devices report a pseudo-SAS address.
