My understanding is that SAS HBAs should appear as endpoints that can be managed via luxadm. Unless there's some limitation from controller/driver stack that limits that to just specific HBAs or storage enclosures?
I don't recall having any issues with this on my kit - but then it's Sun branded stuff with Sun supplied SAS HBAs, which could be the critical difference.
