-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I am mirroring the ISO/USB BitTorrents, and I am wondering why there are two USB versions.
One of the versions make a bootable USB copying with "dd". The other version is only an image of a root partition. No partition table, no boot sector, no grub. What is the practical use of it?. Maybe to copy it inside an already partitioned (big) USB?. In that case, would be nice to have instructions of how to boot it in this configuration. In the wiki there is a method described, but it overwrite the USB, basically being equivalent to the "dd" way. - -- Jesus Cea Avion _/_/ _/_/_/ _/_/_/ j...@jcea.es - http://www.jcea.es/ _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ jabber / xmpp:j...@jabber.org _/_/ _/_/ _/_/_/_/_/ . _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ "Things are not so easy" _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ "My name is Dump, Core Dump" _/_/_/ _/_/_/ _/_/ _/_/ "El amor es poner tu felicidad en la felicidad de otro" - Leibniz -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iQCVAwUBTJlweplgi5GaxT1NAQLoUwP+MG5R0zyxHdQr9vGqp8AbsSbOZ9T8jtMZ 17I7r+IPncuOvFGedRP22DZ7IC87gLiJTqU7l8cZTWMb11CzORnxLBdFNXJ2fyCs ggi3XMHGbnY4XhS6wtMWQjhfjHEbYrY9GEa5sgJ/TeHf1wQCsxYOSOOt5oY22M9o AP3nXZdtDQE= =ZpWP -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ OpenIndiana-discuss mailing list OpenIndiana-discuss@openindiana.org http://openindiana.org/mailman/listinfo/openindiana-discuss
