AARGH, sorry, I indeeed typed the links manually and fell into a
browsers trap - I inserted the broken URL as posted, got the same
error, fixed the typo, and the browser did download, then did copy and
paste the URL, but the browser still did list the wrong URL. So when
pasting that URL and just replacing the corresponding parts of the
filename, all links were broken.
The correct ones are
http://users2.ooodev.org/~cloph/videos/placebo_200kbit.mkv
http://users2.ooodev.org/~cloph/videos/placebo_100kbit.mkv
http://users2.ooodev.org/~cloph/videos/xvid_200kbit.svi
Wow, these are impressive compression rates. Do the videos work with all
kinds of media players, e.g. on Windows? When working on the Beijing
videos, we set ourselves a policy, that the content must be viewable for
almost any user, regardless of using FOSS or not. This was indeed a
limiting factor on the road to best compression for us.
Best regards,
Peter
