            Bug ID: 506682
Summary: Select Highlight + action (delete, copy)
    Classification: Applications
           Product: okular
      Version First 25.04.2
       Reported In:
          Platform: Ubuntu
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: okular-devel@kde.org
          Reporter: tberna...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Feature request:
When creating most annotations (inline text, popup note), it is possible to
select them and delete them by pressing the delete key. It would be nice to
have the same possibility for the highlighted text. Currently, one has to
right-click on the highlighted text to open the contextual menu, and then click
on Delete.

The current behavior is that nothing happens when a highlighted text is
left-clicked on once. The expected behavior would be:
- A single left-click selects the highlights. This could be shown by a visual
change, for example by displaying a darker contour of the highlight.
- Pressing the "delete" key deletes the highlight.
or (bonus)
- If text is associated with the highlight via a popup note, pressing "Crtl+C"
copies the text.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
