            Bug ID: 500020
Summary: Scroll bar restricted to the current page in some pdfs
    Classification: Applications
           Product: okular
           Version: 24.12.2
          Platform: Arch Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: okular-devel@kde.org
          Reporter: jens.lallens...@posteo.com.br
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When reading some pdfs, the scroll bar on the right is restricted to the
current page. It is therefore not possible to use it to quickly scroll through
the document. Other pdfs work fine, however (I see this bug in maybe 20% of the
pdfs I try). This problem appeared a few months ago while everything worked
fine before that; it must be a recent regression. I tried to delete all the
configuration files, but the bug is still there.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a pdf for which this bug shows (Open Access scientific article as
example here: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-025-85497-y.pdf)

OBSERVED RESULT
The pdf is multiple pages long, but the scroll bar only shows one page, and
cannot be used to scroll through the pdf.

EXPECTED RESULT
The scroll bar should represent the entire pdf, as in other pdfs.
