Bug ID: 483678 Summary: Signing with Luxtrust's non-repudiation certificate just hangs Classification: Applications Product: okular Version: 22.12.2 Platform: Debian stable OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: PDF backend Assignee: okular-devel@kde.org Reporter: k...@kde.lka.org.lu Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Connect Smart card reader with Luxtrust card to computer 2. View PDF form using okular 3. Click "show signatures panel" 4. In signatures panel, right click and chose sign 5. When asked, enter smart card's PIN 6. Chose LuxTrusV5: User Cert Sig (i.e. the certificate for "Non Repudiation" rather than "Digital Signature, Encrypt Keys" 7. Click Ok OBSERVED RESULT okular just freezes :-( okular's UI no longer refreshes, and okular needs to be killed with Control-C No diagnostic on stdout/stderr (except unrelated "evaluate() threw an exception" due to "This PDF file requires a newer version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC." popup at document load) EXPECTED RESULT It should sign the document and allow me to save it. Or if not possible / allowed, plainly state why in a popup. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) menu item not present KDE Plasma Version: 142 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - Signing using the second certificate on the same smartcard works just fine - Signing using a PKCS12 certificate (file-based, rather than card) just works fine too -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
