The Craft recipe for Okular includes phonon, but no backend. KStars includes phonon-vlc (to be able to play .ogg notification files). After copying the simpleplayer demo of phonon to the bin folder of KStars I could play the sound of a video with simpleplayer, but the video display stayed black. Maybe the video codec is missing. So, the first thing to do would be to add phonon-vlc as dependency of okular in craft. Or some other backend. There seems to be an outdated phonon-ds9 (for DirectShow), but it does already fail at cmake. There doesn't seem to be a Craft recipe for gstreamer and therefore also none for phonon-gstreamer.
