Bug ID: 456077 Summary: Severe rendering artifacts in okular after update to ubuntu 22.04 from 20.04 Product: okular Version: 22.04.2 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: PDF backend Assignee: okular-devel@kde.org Reporter: sergio.calleg...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 150224 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=150224&action=edit Screenshot with the rendering issue: figure is completely missing, part of the text is covered by an artifact SUMMARY The version of okular shipped with ubuntu 22.04 produces severe rendering artifacts on a laptop with intel graphics (CometLake-U GT2 [UHD Graphics]). Seen using an X11 session. It is unclear to me if the issue is with okular itself or with some libraries used by okular or in the graphics stack provided by ubuntu 22.04. Other applications do not have similar issues, though. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a PDF file 2. Repeatedly press F5 (Reload). OBSERVED RESULT Note that the PDF is not always rendered in the same way. In multiple occasions parts of the page are missing, while other are covered in dark artifacts. EXPECTED RESULT The PDF is always rendered correctly and in the same way.
