I have submitted a patch which will allow you to double click on a revision
toolbar button and then apply that revision without it being detached every
time. You can find it here:

In the meantime the patch get revised to be sure there are no problems, you can
download okular source code, download the patch from the link above, apply it
and then compile okular.
