There have been concrete barriers and yellow tape blocking off the runways since sometime in the fall. I'm in the area several times a week and almost always see cars on the runways anyway- mostly hunters with dogs- apparently training. My impression has been that enforcement is selective- there's a blind eye towards some activities, like hunting. It will be interesting to see if this step- up in enforcement will be applied uniformly from this point on.
