I neglected to include the sighting of an adult Peregrine Falcon feeding on
what seem to be large prey on the upper ledge (e/s) of the Jones Beach
Tower. I had seen the bird fly in, without anything in it's talons. I
couldn't make out the ID of the prey from the ground, but a closer look of
the photos at home showed it probably to be the remains of a Black Duck,
with wings detached, standing upright and away from the body.
