Yesterday I spotted the nest box of the Peregrine Falcon pair on the northernmost building of the Manhattan Psychiatric Center. Below is Google Maps image of the location. This is a well protected site not accessible to the public but viewable from the ground east and north of the site. At least one young falcon was visible on the edge of the building still covered in brown and black feathers and not yet ready to fledge. There might be more than the one eyass since the nest box is nicely set back from the edge and only the top of the nest box structure was visible.
http://tinyurl.com/RI-PF-nest I haven't seen anything definite on the location of a nest box or young falcons from Randall's Island and thought this would be of interest.
