at 8pm on Wednesday **  { the third Wednesday of the month}

Our Speakers will be *Shari Romar*  doing a presentation on The Queens Botanical Garden

Seventy-five years ago, a small exhibit called Gardens on Parade delighted visitors to the 1939-40 New York World’s Fair.   Loved by the community, those 5 acres planted the seeds for what would become the 39-acre urban oasis, Queens Botanical Garden.  QBG welcomes over 200,000 visitors every year who enjoy inspiring gardens, innovative education and public programs, all while learning about environmental stewardship.   Plus, the Garden offers a bucolic respite for local wildlife! Shari Romar is the New Media Manager at Queens Botanical Garden and a freelance writer focusing on nature/gardening topics.

Non members and guests are invited to join us for our meetings featuring noted guest speakers and to join us on our renowned field trips.

* QCBC is a tax exempt, charitable organization {501c3}.  *
