Hi Everyone, I stopped by Massapequa Preserve on the way home from work - by the pond around Pittsburgh Ave. There were a handful of Yellow Warblers singing and a Black Throated Blue Warbler catching flies - the Black Throated gave excellent views, but sadly I didn't have my good camera with me.
At my house, I heard a Mockingbird singing - I could make out the copied vocals of a Cardinal, Red Winged Blackbird, Robin, Blue Jay and the squawks of a Monk Parakeet. Good birding, Rob in Massapequa http://longislandbirding.blogspot.com/ (photos from Tuesday added) -- NYSbirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/NYSBirds-L 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/NYSB.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
