Dear NY'ers,

With permission from the listowner I am cross posting this message from the
NJ list. The Raptor Trust is located in the Great Swamp in NJ. Many of us
have been there. They run educational exhibits and most importantly, a
field hospital for injured raptors. The photos on there Facebook page are
unbelievable.

...Sorry for the slightly off topic message, but I think most of the
readers in
this news group share an interest in the Raptor Trust. This message was
posted on the Atlantic Audubon Society website by Kathy Peterson and I
thought I'd share it here:

The Raptor Trust experienced a tornado-like storm on Monday and many of the
rehab enclosures were severely damaged or destroyed. Amazingly, no humans or
birds suffered injury and their main building and surgery are still
standing.

They need donations now to rebuild the enclosures, especially with fall
migration occurring and winter closing in.

If you wish to help, donations can be sent directly to: The Raptor Trust,
1390 White Bridge Road, Millington, NJ 07946 or through their website at
http://theraptortrust.org/dona... <http://theraptortrust.org/donations/>

They said the damage is far worse than what they experienced with Hurricane
Sandy.

There are pictures of the destruction on their Facebook page:

Thanks for any help you can give!
